"All three Indians on board have been safely rescued with one crew injured. The ship owners have made arrangements to repatriate them to India immediately," Directorate General of Shipping said in a release.

The three sailors were employed in the vessel, MV GNA, which was hijacked on April 26. The sailors and the vessels were freed on April 27 by the Yemeni Special Forces.

The family members of the sailors have been informed about their safe release, according to the release.
