At least three people are killed and three severely injured in an explosion in a gelatin manufacturing factory in Nashik.

At least three people were killed and three severely injured in an explosion in a gelatin manufacturing factory in Nashik in Maharashtra early Saturday, police said.

"The incident took place past midnight. The injured have been admitted to hospital," a police official said.

Parts of the factory building collapsed due to the impact of the blast, trapping many in the debris.
