Three persons were killed and one injured in a head-on collision between a car and a tractor near a village in Sirsa under Rania police station in the district, police said today.

The accident occurred last night near Jeewan Nagar village when the car collided with the tractor coming from opposite direction, police said adding the injured was admitted to a local hospital in Sirsa.

The bodies of all the deceased were handed over to their kin after post-mortem examination on Monday, they said.

According to Rania police station SHO Dharamvir Singh, the exact cause of the mishap was not known, but he suspected it to be a mishap caused due to dense fog in the area.
