Three militants of a local insurgent outfit Udal were killed and an army personnel was seriously injured in an encounter in Karimganj district of Assam on Friday.
The militants were gunned down when they were exchanging fire with the army at Rongpur Gudguli, official sources said.

The injured personnel was admitted to hospital, the sources said.
The Udal group is active between Karimganj and neighbouring Mizoram, they added.
