Three Naxals killed in Andhra encounter

This was the second encounter between the police and the Maoists in the past 24 hours. The Naxals had recently blasted the Somadevapally railway station.

Three Maoists, including a woman, were killed in an encounter with the police in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on saturday, police said.

The encounter took place near Somadevapally village of Racherla mandal, they added.

On Friday, a top Maoist leader M Ravikiran alias Sridhar, who was a member of the Central Committee of CPI (Maoists), was killed.
