Three Naxals killed in Andhra encounter

Naxals opened fire on a special team which was combing the area prompting them to retaliate, police said.

Three Praja Prathighatana Group (PPG) Naxals were killed in an encounter with the police, near Mamidigudem Village of Palvancha Mandal of the district on Friday.

Two DBBL, two 8 mm rifles and 20 kitbags were recovered from the spot. The identity of the Naxals, who were killed on the spot, was yet to be established.
