Shivpuri and Sheopur police have rescued the three persons who had been kidnapped by the dacoits after an encounter early on Wednesday. Shivpuri SP Sajid Farid Shapu said that the encounter took place near Karasdev temple under Agara police station of Sheopur district. However the dacoits managed to escape.
According to the police, Jagan Gurjar and Ramvishesh Gurjar gang had abducted four persons from the forest near Bhidori village under Govardhan police station of Shivpuri on Monday where they had gone to collect firewood. One Kallaram Gadariya was released on Monday evening with the ransom message for Rs 5 lakh for the release of the captives.
The rescued persons have been identified as Bachchu Gadariya resident of Kharai, Banwari Gadariya resident of Bhidori, Ram Prasad Gadariya resident of Bhorana.
Another schoolboy kidnapped
JUST A day after a schoolboy was kidnapped in Satna district, a 10-year-old schoolboy has been kidnapped for ransom in this district headquarters. The police said on Wednesday that town-based businessman Sanjay Neta's son Shani was abducted yesterday.
The victim had gone to attend a function at Gurukul School but did not return until evening and a search was initiated. Some people from the cantonment town Jabalpur told Neta over telephone at night that the boy was in their clutches and warned police should not be alerted. The family is not divulging anything about a ransom demand but police suspects that a demand must have been made. SP B K Shrivastava confirmed the kidnapping.
