Three women killed, seven injured in Orissa accident

At least three women were killed and seven others injured when an auto-rickshaw collided with a bus at Nutan Berhampur Chowk, 60 km from Berhampur in Ganjam district today, police said.

At least 13 women from J Rampalli village in Kodala police station limit were going to Kalijai temple in the Chilika lake in the auto, when the accident occurred, the police said.

While four injured persons were admitted at the medical college hospital in Berhampur, three others including the auto driver were provided treatment at the health center at Kodala, police said.

Inspector in-charge (Khallikote) police station Sushant Sethi said, the two vehicles were seized. The bus driver was absconding.
