Nothwithstanding, poor performance in recent times, the interest in matches involving India at the next year's World Cup in the West Indies was evident with an early sale of tickets for its league encounters.
Local Organising Committee Communications Manager Janelle Penny Commission said all the tickets for India's league matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh had been sold off.
"Only Category 1 (worth $ 90) and Party Stand tickets are available now and there has been a lot of interest in the India-Bangladesh match," she said.
Commission said a warm-up game between Pakistan and South Africa was also drawing attention.
"The warm-up match between Pakistan and South Africa is also getting a lot of attention and has been running neck and neck with India-Sri Lanka World Cup match," she said.
Commission said another good news for India was that Trinidad and Tobago had been given thumbs up for its preparations by the International Cricket Council.
"Indian cricket team will be sited here and the ICC has given the Local Organising Committee (LOC) resounding approval in its preparations for the World Cup, just a couple months away," said Commission, who was the Miss Universe in 1976.

{{/usCountry}}"Looking at the Queen's Park Oval, ICC's Assessment Team led by Don Lockberbie has given this venue high ratings for its preparations. After the final inspection, we were told that all is well with our preparations and, we have been given the thumbs up by the ICC.
"They have told the authorities what to concentrate on in the remaining time available. They now need to focus on the Media Centre, the Pavilion and the Party Stand," she added.
