For the second time-bound promotion (after 24 years) the pay scale would be Rs12,000-375-16,500, it decided. Similarly, it decided that on first time-bound promotion (after 12 years) in the pay scale of 10,000-325-15,200 the pay scale of 12,000-375-16,500 would be given and on second time-bound promotion (after 24 years) the pay scale of 14,300-400-18,300 will be admissible. The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, decided that in departments, where provision of time-bound promotion existed in the recruitment rules, it would be continued.

In departments where there is a provision of only one time-bound promotion, directives of the General Administration Department (GAD) would be provided for second time-bound promotion.

The selection of government employees through limited departmental test will be considered their first appointment and they would be given the benefit of two time-bound promotions under the time-bound promotion policy of the GAD.
