Time to look within

At times, I close my eyes and go back into the past. I recall my childhood -- a little child who had no worries and lived the most uncomplicated life. Life at that time wasn't about colour combinations and designer clothing.

At times, I close my eyes and go back into the past. I recall my childhood -- a little child who had no worries and lived the most uncomplicated life. Life at that time wasn't about colour combinations and designer clothing. It was a life where a plastic toy car could give me more contentment than any luxury car can possibly give today. Life had no materialism then ; all it had was happiness, contentment and a plastic toy car.

Today, I have grown up and supposed to be wiser; but like countless other people, I consider myself the most foolish because I have failed to understand the joy of living simply. We read books and articles in search of contentment. That's what makes us foolish because the answer we're looking for lies within us. All we need to do is to close our eyes, think about our childhood. The answer lies in the beautiful memories you'd recall.

Giving up our ego, anger, the fear of the unknown, being humble and above all believing in your destiny are the things required to simplify your life. The biggest sin that exists in the world today is anger and the biggest fear is the fear of the unknown. The day we start believing that God has beautifully written our lives and destiny can't be changed, we'd be the happiest creatures on earth. No man in this world can defy his destiny. We've heard and read about peasants becoming kings and vice versa.
