A Trinamool Congress booth committee leader was injured and his wife killed when an unidentified person hurled a crude bomb at his house in West Bengal's Birbhum district in the wee hours on Sunday.

Birbhum superintendent of police Mukhesh Kumar said that the incident occurred at Buro Soren's house in Kolukdanga village in Ilambazar area around 3am.
Soren's wife, Churki (37) died on the spot in the explosion while the TMC was rushed to Bolpur sub-divisional hospital.
