Delhi Daredevils versus Chennai Super Kings T20 League match on Tuesday has run into problems with Tamil Nadu government cancelling the structural stability certificate of the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Monday.
In a late night development, the Tamil Nadu government sent a letter to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association cancelling the structural stability certificate issued to all the 9 stands inside the newly renovated stadium, according to TNCA sources.
The Tamil Nadu government's letter has put a question mark over the last match of the T20 League being hosted by Chennai as the qualifiers have been shifted out of the city due to the TN government's stand over Sri Lankan players.
The Chennai police has also issued a show cause notice to the TNCA asking why Tuesday's match cannot be cancelled.
The only ray of hope for the TNCA is the Supreme Court which has agreed to take up the TNCA plea against Chennai corporation's decision to seal three stands in the stadium.

Tickets for all the nine stands have already been sold for Tuesday's the T20 match.
Delhi Daredevils is out of contention for the eliminators but for hosts Super kings, the match would prove crucial as it would count in deciding the ranking in top four that would decide the opponents at the knockout stage.
The Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa had sent a letter to the Prime Minister in March making it clear that T20 League matches would be permitted in the state only if the organisers gave an undertaking that no Sri Lankan players, umpires, officials or support staff would be allowed to participate in the matches.
It remains to be seen if the Daredevils will to play without their regular captain Mahela Jayawardne as the ban on Sri Lankan players playing in Chennai is on.
