Amin, one of the 15 accused — including former junior home minister Amit Shah — wants to turn approver.

The CBI filed its reply on Tuesday before a special CBI court, which took up Amin's plea seeking to turn approver. The court has adjourned the matter till August 10.

The CBI also objected to the application filed by other co-accused — including prime accused IPS officers D G Vanzara and Dinesh M N, among others — opposing Amin's plea.

The co-accused argued that since Amin was also a co-accused in the case, he should not be allowed to turn approver. But the CBI said their application was "devoid of any merit".

The CBI also sought a seven-day police custody for Raju Jirawala. The agency said he could give information on who visited his farmhouse where Kauser Bi was kept and killed.
