The Vanilla Sky actor was reportedly signed up for the flick about a U.S. president who uncovers plans to kill him, reports Contactmusic.

Tom turned down the role, as he wanted to act in Motorcade, which is about a terrorist group plotting to attack the U.S. president, according Moviehole.net.
The site also revealed that Tom has rebuffed an offer to play a Hollywood actor who falls for his Chinese director in romantic comedy Lost for Words.
Meanwhile, it was being reported that Tom would be teaming up with John Travolta for a remake of Butch Cassidy.
