There was a time these girls had considered themselves as ‘good for nothing’. Today these three girls are among the five best students of Shahnaz Husain’s institute.

It was four months ago that Mehnaz, Richa and Rajendra joined Revamp, Shahnaz Husain’s beauty Clinic and Institute, Lucknow. They started learning how to make people beautiful. And, then, they faced the exam early this month.

They passed it with flying colours and proved to be the best five amongst the 800 students that took the exam from all over the country in Delhi.

They are back to their beauty work at the Revamp, but have dreams to have their own beauty clinics. The strength of their will comes forward when they narrate their stories. Rajendra, a married lady from Bahraich says, “I always wanted to do this course but I could do it only after I got married. My husband and my little daughter are in Bahraich and I am in Lucknow to study.”

The candidates undergo a four-month rigorous course that includes theory and practicals. After that they take an exam at Shahnaz Husain’s main institute in Delhi. The exam is called Woman’s World International. Along with this, they also have to prepare a bulky and detailed project related to their course. During the training, the girls are taught the use of various beauty machines and equipment.

Of the vast number of pupils that take this exam, the institute selects five best students. Surprisingly, of the five students selected, three belong to Revamp.

All the students pass the credit to their teachers. Richa says, “It was only because of our teachers that we could become the best in the country. We had never thought that we would be among the top five.”

All the girls want to open their own beauty clinic and institute one day.
