The yellow signal has been flashed in Cooch Behar district as the river Torsa has crossed the danger mark in the district, official sources said on Sunday.
The water level of the Torsa has risen following incessant rains since Saturday, sources said.

District Flood Control Room sources said there was a weather forecast for heavier rainfall in the next 24 hours. Accordingly, all concerned have been alerted to get prepared for more downpours.
