Tough action against drunken revellers

SECURITY will remain tight in the capital on the occasion of Rangpanchami on Monday. Over 2,000 police personnel, including officials of the district police, Special Task Force (STF), Rapid Action Force apart from Special Armed Forces (SAF) will be deployed all over the City to keep a check on drunken revellers.

SECURITY will remain tight in the capital on the occasion of Rangpanchami on Monday. Over 2,000 police personnel, including officials of the district police, Special Task Force (STF), Rapid Action Force apart from Special Armed Forces (SAF) will be deployed all over the City to keep a check on drunken revellers.

SP Anant Kumar Singh said each police station has been provided four vehicles, including two auto-rickshaws, for patrolling in the City. Action would be taken against those driving recklessly.

Eight points have been fixed to check over-speeding by vehicles to prevent accidents. The police will conduct regular patrolling in view of the processions on Rang panchami.

The auto-rickshaws will be used for patrolling within in the lanes, especially in the Walled City. Around 125 vehicles will patrol the City on Monday.
