Trader’s teenage son kidnapped

A student of a Delhi school and son of an iron trader at Ghaziabad was allegedly abducted from near his Patel Nagar II residence on Monday evening, reports Peeyush Khandelwal.

A student of a Delhi school and son of an iron trader at Ghaziabad was allegedly abducted from near his Patel Nagar II residence on Monday evening.

Kartik Tyagi (17), a student of Arwachin Bharti School at Vivek Vihar Delhi, went missing around 4 p.m. Girish Tyagi, his father and a businessman, lodged a complaint with Sihani-Gate police station.

The police recovered Tyagi’s scooter, spectacles and a computerised ransom-letter from Patel Nagar II area on Monday night. “The letter demanded Rs 15 lakh to be paid to an unidentified person with in five days, failing in which they threatened of dire consequences,” the SP (City) said. The police have picked up two friends of the boy for questioning.
