Train services on the Howrah-Mumbai main line were suspended for nearly two hours following a bomb blast between Bhalulata and Bisra, about 30km from Rourkela, early this morning.

GRP sources said the explosion occurred far from the railway line near Kataranda village bordering Jharkhand and there was no damage to railway track.

No loss of life was reported, they said
Railway authorities conducted a thorough check on the track and train services were suspended from 4.30 am to 6.30 am.
Normal service has since been restored on the main Howrah-Bombay line.
