Training for election duty held

THE DISTRICT administration on Friday conducted a training programme for the employees engaged in election duty.

During the training programme, he Mahewa market, officials were given election kits.

District administration expedited its preparation for conducting fair and incident free Municipal Corporation and civic body election.

On this occasion, district magistrate Dr Hariom gave tips to the subordinate officials for conducting fair election. He directed them to maintain the secrecy of the election. He further said that strict action would be taken against the people who would disturb the election. The people’s representative and others would not be allow to enter in the polling station with their gunners.

Assistant election officer, Surya Bhan Yadav, said that 819 polling parties had been constituted and in first phase the polling parties from number 1 to 500 were being trained while in the second phase the remaining 390 polling parties would be trained. There are 741 polling stations in the district and 78 polling parties would be kept reserve, he added.

According to sources district administration has prepared a list of the vehicles to carry out the polling parties and polling boxes along with senior officer. Each polling booth will have a presiding officer and three-election officer.
