Travelling to Noida by bus gets dearer

With the Delhi transport department replacing Blueline buses with DTC ones, the journey between the two towns has become costlier.

Commuters will have to buy two tickets — one for their journey in Delhi and another for their journey in UP.

For the number of kilometres the commuter travels in a DTC bus in Noida, they will have to pay the fare according to the Uttar Pradesh fare structure and for the number of kilometres travelling in Delhi, they will have to pay according to the DTC fare structure.

For example, a person taking a bus from Dhaula Kuan to Noida will have to buy a Rs 15 ticket, which will take him to the Delhi–UP border. For his onward journey in Noida, he will need another ticket. For three kilometres, he will have to buy a Rs 4 ticket, for 3-5 km Rs 6 ticket, for 5-10 kms, Rs 10 ticket, for 10-15 kms, Rs 12 ticket, for 15-20 kms Rs 15 ticket and for a journey over 15 kms, he will have to buy a ticket of RS 20, a senior DTC official said.

With the transport department phasing out Blueline buses and replacing them with DTC buses, the new fare structure for Noida has come into effect.

The UP buses, which ply on some routes between Noida and Delhi, are already charging commuters according to the new fare structure since November 5.
