But the Congress-led UDF Opposition and their supporters had always projected the LDF rule as a failure, Achuthanandan told reporters in Thiruvananthapuram.

It was the Opposition's opinion that the LDF's poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls was due to anti-incumbency, but people could reach their own conclusions on that, he said.

"During the three years of LDF rule, I have had to face many types of criticism and also admiration," Achuthanandan, who has been at loggerheads for long with CPI(M) party state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, said.

While the UDF bagged 16 of the 20 seats, LDF, which completed three years in office on May 19, secured only four.
