FINE EFFORTS by the bowlers of Radharaman College of Pharmacy (RCP) and Truba Institute today resulted in thumping wins for their teams in the RGPV Nodal Cricket Tournament being organised at RITS cricket ground.
On the beautiful cricket ground of RITS, two interesting matches were played today. In the first match, Truba Institute defeated Bansal Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) by 45 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, and with the help of impressive performance of the batsmen, Truba set the target of 156 runs in 25 over for BITS. Asif and Kausar with their brilliant batting help the team in setting the good score. Asif scored 29 runs with one six and two fours, while Kausar made 38 runs with one six and four boundaries.
For BITS bowling side, Sarang took 3 wickets. In reply, the batsmen of Bansal College stumbled against superb bowling of Truba. Bansal opener Deepak was out without opening his account in the very first over.
However, Vijay batted responsibly and made 35 runs with six boundaries. But the lack of support from other batsmen meant the innings was in a lost cause, as the team was all out for 110 runs in 18.2 overs, falling short of 45 runs.

{{/usCountry}}In the second match, Radharaman College of Pharmacy (RCP) defeated NRI College by 68 runs. RCP elected to bat first after winning the toss. Its batsmen set a target of 131 runs for NRI in stipulated 25 overs. Abhishek’s 22 runs included 3 boundaries.
Ashish contributed 21 runs for RCP. For NRI team, Nishant bowled well and took 3 wickets. In reply, NRI were all out for 61 runs in 15.4 over. For RCP, Satyam took three wickets.
