While the cleaner Raju jumped from the truck and ran away, they caught hold of the diver Shankar, beat him up and then tied and dumped him on the roadside, and decamped with the truck.

The incident occurred at around 11 pm. A truck (KA-01-AD-2435) filled with 200 bags of white flour from Sangvi Foods, Dewas, was going to Hyderabad for delivery. When the truck was passing between villages Bagoda and Arandya, the miscreants forced the truck to stop and committed the loot.

The driver Shankar somehow managed to free himself and along with cleaner Raju came to the Kshipra police station. However, showing scant regard about the seriousness of the crime and taking prompt action, the two of them were sent to Lasudia police station, under whose jurisdiction the area where the loot took place fell.

A student, who was riding his new motorcycle to college, died after a truck hit him. Manish Porwal, resident of 39, Ambedkar Nagar was riding his new motorcycle to the Softvision College, Vijaynagar, when he was hit by a truck near Manmandir cinema hall. He died on the spot, as one of the wheels of the truck smashed his skull.

Manish had purchased the motorcycle only 20 days back. His death was a double blow for the family as only a fortnight ago, his aunt’s son had died in a mishap in Jaipur and Manish’s father had gone to Jaipur to take part in the ‘shraddh’ function of his nephew.
