Apart from the inadequate signages at the fort, lack of drinking water and public conveniences is a major negative.

When Hindustan Times visited the Fort and asked a guard, he said, "There is a toilet run by MCD across the road, go there."

Also, when you visit the Tughlaqabad Fort, in all probability, you would also want to visit the wonderfully maintained Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq's tomb.
But, the heavy traffic becomes a problem and you will find it hard to cross the busy Mehrauli-Badarpur road. There are simply no facilities such as a foot-over bridge for the pedestrians to cross the road.
Apart from the common problem of no government-approved, trained guides to explain the history of the fort to the visitors, there are no first-aid facilities.
