Two persons were arrested and a cache of firearms and ammunition was seized at a village in Barh sub-division of Patna district early on Saturday morning, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, central para-military forces and state police jointly raided the houses of Shanker Singh and Geeta Singh at Darve village and seized one double barrel gun, two country-made pistols, one 9 mm pistol and 73 rounds of ammunition.

The police said the two, said to be supporters of a political party, have been arrested.
These weapons were to be used for creating disturbance during today's polls, the police said.
