Two persons drowned in the Krishna river on Thursday while immersing a Ganesh idol near Jupuidi village, police said.
The deceased have been identified as M Leelaram (22) and P Kesav (20), police said.

About 300 ganesh idols have been installed in the city on the occassion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Wednesday, police added.
