Two girls were charred to death when fire broke out in their room in Shahabganj area, police said here on Saturday.

Jyoti (3) and her sister Jwala (2) sustained serious burn injuries when the room in which they were sleeping caught fire from an earthen lamp late last night in Rasia village, they said.

The girls were rushed to a hospital where they died during treatment, police said.
