Two held for raping sisters in Udhampur

Two persons wanted in the Panchari rape case were finally arrested by the local police here on Thursday. According to reports, the two accused, who had gangraped two real sisters in Dandota village of Panchari tehsil.

Two persons wanted in the Panchari rape case were finally arrested by the local police here on Thursday.

According to reports, the two accused, who had gangraped two real sisters in Dandota village of Panchari tehsil 10 days ago, were nabbed in a manhunt launched by the police after the incident.

Reports said that accused identified as Ravi Kumar and Kuldeep Kumar, who were absconding for the last ten days, were arrested on Thursday by the police and later produced before magistrate for remand.

The matter was also raised in the J&K legislative assembly by the local MLA on Wednesday.

Both the victims have alleged that they were being gangraped by the accused on the intervening night of February 9 when both had gone to purchase some articles from the latter's shop.
