Two persons were injured when a bomb exploded while another live bomb was recovered on National Highway 31(C) near the Assam-West Bengal border on Friday, official sources said.

The bombs, one planted in a truck and the other attached to bicycle, exploded near the Srirampur Inter-state check gate under Gossaigaon police station in quick succession this afternoon, they said.

Two persons were seriously injured in the blast and have been hospitalised.
During search operations in the area, a live bomb was recovered from close to the Sales Tax Check gate in the same area, which is usually very crowded.
Senior police and civil officials have rushed to the spot and the entire area has been cordoned off, they said.
