Two women were killed and 22 others, including children, injured in separate incidents of building collapse in Ghaziabad, police said on Friday.
Savitri (50) and Prekashi (70) died on the spot when an under-construction ceiling in their house collapsed on them in village Khindoda on Thursday, they said.
Four persons were injured in the incident and have been hospitalised.
In another incident, six children and eight women were among 18 people injured in Kuddi Kabadda village when the terrace of a house collapsed on Thursday evening, they said.
The terrace of Murad Ali's house collapsed when some locals had gathered there to watch a wedding procession passing through the village, Superintendent of Police, M M Beg said.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Hapur and Meerut where the condition of five of them was stated to be critical, Beg said.
