Two Karbi Lungri National Liberation Front (KLNLF) militants on Wednesday surrendered with arms before the army.

The militants voluntarily surrendered alongwith two nine mm pistols and four rounds of ammunition to Colonel Nirang Kumar of the 11th battalion of the J&K Rifles at Diphu, army sources said.

The insurgents, both self styled 'corporals', Kolam Singh Engti and Bau Ram Teron, were involved in extortion, kidnapping, recruitment and ethnic cleansing, the sources said.
The surrendered were later handed over to the police.
