Two Maoists were killed in a shoot-out with police in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, police said on Wednesday.

A group of armed Naxalites triggered a land mine blast when a police party was on a search operation and then opened fire on the security forces near Palnar area, about 500 km from here, police said.

The security forces retaliated and two Naxalites were killed, police said.
There was no casualty among the security personnel, police said.
