Two naxalites have been arrested in connection with the killing of three policemen during an encounter in Makadchuha in Gadchiroli on August 20, police said on Thursday.
The arrested duo--Sudhakar Tumroti (22) and Ravindra Marlawar (35)-- were produced before a local court on Wednesday which remanded them to police custody till September 17.
Three policemen including one CRPF jawan and a woman naxalite were killed in the encounter last month.
In another development, Gadchiroli police have arrested four persons for allegedly burning a JCB and a truck on August 17 at Pavimuranda in Chamorshi taluka of the district.
The accused Raju Atla, Kotul Chinnu Kumre, Kesari Danu Marati and Bajirao Pada were also produced before a local court which remanded them to police custody till September 12, police said.
