Two factions of the Republican Party of India including--Prakash Ambedkar and Attalave - would be joining the Janata Party alliance in Tamil Nadu, according to Janata Party President Dr. Subramanian Swamy.
He told reporters here on April 1 that Janata Party alliance comprising New Justice Party would contest in all the 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
Earlier, the Janata Party was to support the AIADMK in places where it had not fielded its candidates, except in Madurai where Dr. Swamy was contesting and Periyakulam where TTV Dinakaran was contesting.
Dr Swamy said that with the JP, NJP and Republican Parties joining hands JP alliance was emerging as a good alternative to the two major fronts in the state.
Dr Swamy demanded that his rival CPI(M) candidate P Mohan should give a clear picture of how he had spent the fund of Rs 10 Crore allotted for MP Area Development.
