A FLYING squad caught two teachers for facilitating mass copying at PB College in Pratapgarh during the annual examination of the Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) on Saturday.

Another flying squad caught two students for using unfair means at the TD College, Jaunpur.
Examination controller Dr Ratnakar Shukla said 71 copycats had been caught till date. There has been a sharp reduction in the number of students caught using unfair means across the state. The varsity has taken stern action against copycats in line with the State Government’s directives.
UPRTOU public relations officer Prabhat Chandra Mishra said vice-chancellor Prof KNS Yadav planned to visit different districts to conduct inspection during the examination. Prof Yadav will visit Lucknow, Shahjahanpur and Bareilly to inspect centres and conduct meetings at regional UPRTOU centres.
Meanwhile, in Allahabad University students held a meeting to workout a strategy regarding agitation against reduction in seats in AU at the AUU hall on Saturday. Student leader Dr Nirbhay Singh Patel presided while Ziya Quonain Rizvi conducted the meeting.
Addressing students Dr Patel said AU administration had been trying to deprive students from higher education by reducing seats which would be opposed by students.

Rizvi said better results in UP Board, CBSE and ICSE had created problems for admission of students and reduction in seats in the varsity would ruin the careers of many students.
Student leaders Sant Lal Verma, Lalaram Saroj and Mohit Patel expressed their views.
