However, the famous Thackeray cousins, Uddhav and Raj did not talk with each other when they attended a family function at MIG club, Bandra on Friday.

The occasion was engagement ceremony of their cousin brother Nishant Deshmukh.

Shiv Sena insiders said Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray and his estranged cousin and President of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Raj Thackeray avoided talking or even sitting near each other at the function.

While Uddhav was accompanied by his personal aide Milind Narwekar and senior party leader and Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut, Raj and his wife Sharmila attended the function. Both the brothers were at the venue for about half an hour and later left at different times.

This is for the second time that Thackeray cousins were present at the same time for some occasion. The last time they were seen together at Shivaji Park crematoria in May this year at the funeral of late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan.
