Addressing election meetings in the district in support of BJP aspirant C Udayabhaskar, Thirunavukkarasu expressed the hope that the state would repose faith in the BJP as 'a true alternative' this time.
He said the Congress in the state was on the verge of collapse, as the temporary truce in the internal bickerings would not last long.
The resurgence of the BJP in the state was visible, as sections who had viewed the party suspiciously before had come to realise the good intentions of the party, he added.
