Ujjain incident: Protests on Sept 5

PROPOSED PROTESTS on Teachers? Day ? related to the Ujjain incident of the alleged murder of Prof HS Sabharwal ? are piling up. Communist Party of India (Marxist) has called for a State-wide Bandh on the day while MP Rajya Shikshakarmi Sangh will be holding a dharna to protest the incident and demand proper action on culprits as well as to press their own demands of revised pay scales and others.

PROPOSED PROTESTS on Teachers’ Day – related to the Ujjain incident of the alleged murder of Prof HS Sabharwal – are piling up. Communist Party of India (Marxist) has called for a State-wide Bandh on the day while MP Rajya Shikshakarmi Sangh will be holding a dharna to protest the incident and demand proper action on culprits as well as to press their own demands of revised pay scales and others.

In a press conference today, CPM State secretary Bahadur Singh Dhakad squarely blamed the State Government and the RSS for criminalising the entire system and trying to protect the culprits in the Ujjain incident.

He said law and order system in the State had gone to the dogs and anarchy reigned owing to RSS terror tactics, which were supported by parties and organisations.

He said to protest the Ujjain murder, general anarchy and failed law and order system, the party has called for a MP bandh on September 5 –Teachers’ Day. The party will be mobilising support for the bandh during the next few days and appealed to the common people to join the bandh.

Shikshakarmi Sangh: MP Rajya Shikshakarmi Sangh president Murlidhar Patidar has strongly condemned the Ujjain incident, calling it an inhumane and barbaric act. He also offered his condolences to the bereaved family.
