A suspected ULFA militant was killed in a gunfight with a joint team of army and policemen at Gouripur in lower Assam's Dhubri district along Indo-Bangla border on Friday.

Defence sources said Manindra Rai allegedly opened fire on the security personnel when he was asked to stop his bicycle at abandoned Rupsi airport.
