In the editorial of the latest issue of its fortnightly mouthpiece 'Freedom', the outfit claimed that linking it with the series of blasts was "a conspiracy to foil the peace process initiated to solve the problems of the state".

The ULFA claimed that it had already warned the people that certain forces were "trying to thwart the peace process of a negotiated political settlement of the problems plaguing the state".

The outfit also criticised the Centre's decision to take the refined oil produced in the Numaligarh Refinery in Assam to the newly constructed oil terminal at Siliguri through a 660-km pipeline as it "amounted to plundering the resources of the state".

The outfit also accused the Centre of being indifferent to the flood problems of the state.
