Uma created a flutter in the Chhapan Dukan area a few minutes after 11 am by turning up at a Reliance Fresh outlet with a basket of vegetables on her head and locked the gates of the outlet with a padlock she had brought with her. However, the store was already locked. She then threw the key amidst a crowd of cheering party workers.

"I have only locked the Reliance Fresh store; if it was a Wal-Mart store, I would set it on fire,” she said.
