Uma Bharti, tipped to re-join the BJP sometime early next year, announced here on Saturday that Rahul Gandhi was taking lessons from a wrong teacher, Digvijay Singh.
Bharati, who ended Singh’s 10-year-long rule as chief minister in Madhya Pradesh in 2003, said since her old rival, "who appears to be coaching him at the moment", had gone mentally bankrupt, she was willing to tutor Gandhi.
Reacting to the Wikileaks expose that Gandhi had expressed concern over saffron terror, she said, "(Sant Jarnail Singh) Bhindranwale was once a polling agent of the Congress and the LTTE that killed Rajiv Gandhi was also a creation of the Congress."
Attacking Singh, who is in charge of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, she said, "If Rahul continues to follow Digvijay’s advice, he, too, will lose all credibility."
"It’s under Digvijay’s influence that Rahul compared the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh with the Students Islamic Movement of India. This is mental bankruptcy," she said.
Bharati said — as a sample lesson in history for Gandhi — that he should have known that Jawaharlal Nehru had contacted the RSS leader, Guru Golwalkar, to seek advice during the Sino-Indian war.

{{/usCountry}}On Saturday, Bharati gave a blink-and-miss appearance here and told the media that she was yet to make up her mind when and how to re-enter the BJP.
Admitting that there was a possibility of her working for the BJP in UP, she said the speculation that she would be projected as the party’s chief ministerial candidate in the 2012 UP assembly polls was "the joke of 2010".
