Talking to mediapersons here in Varanasi, Govindacharya dubbed the formation of Uma Bharti’s new political party as a political experiment. He was here to participate in a marriage at Angawa village in Choubepure.

He said that today’s politics was reeling under the transition period and it was the need of the hour to initiate new experiments. He added that he welcomed such experiments but he did not want to be a part of them.

“The newly formed political party Bhartiya Janshakti Party is not an alternative to BJP but Uma Bharti’s party will cause a decline in the mass- base of Bhartiya Janata Party”, he said.

Govindacharya analyzed that Uma Bharti’s political party would give a strong fight to the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Madhya Pradesh.

On the recent controversy over reservation, he said that reservation issue was raised only to divert the attention of the public from the basic problems of the country.
