Actress Uma Thurman doesn't want to read press stories about herself because journalists' prejudice has left her scared.

According to contactmusic.com, Thurman says journalists who interview her already have pre-conceived notions of her.

Instead of trying to show her true self, Thurman just ignores reading the whole article because it frightens her.
She says: "Sometimes you can tell a reporter has come in with an opinion already formed: They have Googled you, stolen six misquotes from eight pieces and know what they are going to say. The piece is half-written before you have even begun! If you are not here to try and understand me, what's the point?"
