According to Janadesh Yatra Samiti media-in-charge Sanjay Mishra, Uma Bharti would go to Varanasi on May 3 after the launch of her political outfit in Ujjain. Mishra said the sadhvi would declare the launch of the party at the party’s national convention after performing pooja at Mahakal Temple.

Sources close to her said the Sadhvi had decided to change the venue for the launch of her party owing to Raibareilly Lok Sabha seat by-election. Polling would be conducted on May 8. Observers said Sadhvi would have faced difficulty in arranging the good crowd of workers if she had gone ahead with her decision to launch the party in Varanasi on April 30.

The Sadhvi, they said, by deciding to launch her party from Madhya Pradesh has sought to make it loud and clear to the electorate in Madhya Pradesh that the State has a special place for her. They said by choosing Ujjain for the launch of party launch was not only because of its religious importance but also because of its historical importance.
