Umar Gul is the latest spice in the Pakistani bowling attack. He was called for national duty only after a flurry of 9 first-class matches in the wake of Pakistan's poor 2003 World Cup.

Gul maintains excellent discipline and gets appreciable outswing with the new ball. Though Gul has not yet played many matches, the early signs surely are encouraging.
