This is the only project to receive the unique distinction from India. Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) had taken the initiative to nominate the E-Procurement Project http://www/eprocurement.Gov.in to the UN panel for this award.

The selection of projects for the honors was a multi-stage process and finally an expert committee of the UN selected the winners, an official release said in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The project has received several awards in the past, but winning the UN Award is certainly a crowning glory, bringing honour to Andhra Pradesh and India, Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy said congratulating the team for this outstanding achievement.
