Kiran Bedi’s being superseded for the post of Police Commissioner in Delhi smacks of gender bias as reported in the media. But she shouldn’t have blamed the government for this injustice. As a senior member of a disciplined force, she should have abstained from such comments in public. In such cases, there are factors she may not be aware of that forced the government’s hand.
